Melanie Walker

Dr. Walker is an epidemiologist with 13 years of clinical trials experience with the Canadian Cancer Trials Group and 3 years of knowledge translation experience in cancer system-related health services research with the Division of Cancer Care and Epidemiology, Queen’s University.  She is a Research Scientist with the Department of Emergency Medicine where she co-leads the design and management of a research fundamentals curriculum for the residents.  She also works with the department’s education scholars on a number of emergency medicine-related research projects.  Dr. Walker is the course director of two first-year undergraduate medicine courses, Critical Appraisal, Research and Life Long Learning (MEDS 112), and Population and Global Health (MEDS 116), and has taught in a variety of graduate level courses including Cancer Biology and Foundations of Cancer Control.
