Dr. Gord Jones received his medical degree from Queen's University in 1982 and completed his FRCP residency in Emergency Medicine in 1986. He was EMS Base Hospital Medical Director for Southeastern Ontario from 1990 – 2003. He was the Department Head of Emergency Medicine at Queen's University from 2007 to 2016. Throughout his career, he has had academic interests in EMS, undergraduate medical education and Emergency Department administration and patient flow. He is currently a member of the Royal College Specialty Committee for Emergency Medicine, with an interest in the transition to Competency Based Medical Education for our residency programs.
