Welcome to the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University, located in beautiful and historic Kingston, Ontario. We provide emergency care for 80,000 ill and injured patients a year at the regional trauma and tertiary care centre at Kingston General Hospital and the Urgent Care Centre at Hotel Dieu Hospital.

We have a bright and energetic faculty who benefit from the experience and wisdom of some of Canada’s first Emergency Medicine specialists. Our physicians provide academic and clinical expertise in the areas of pre-hospital care, toxicology, resuscitation, simulation, ultrasound and medical education. Our research program supports an active group of primary and collaborative investigators.
