George was born and raised in the great plains of Kazakhstan before moving to Canada in his teenage years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Life Sciences and Master of Public Health at Queen’s, during which time he became well-acquainted with the vibrant and exciting Kingston community.
After finishing his medical degree at the University of Calgary, he was excited to join the Queen’s EM team and train in the tight-knit and collegial environment that the program is known for. His current academic interests include addiction medicine, POCUS and resuscitation.
When not in the ED, George can be found exploring local gravel and mountain biking trails, hanging off the nearby outdoor climbing routes, or trying to find the perfect craft beer pairing for his home-cooked smoker meals.
