Erin Brennan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University and is the Program Director for the RCPSC EM residency program. As a graduate of the Queen’s EM program she takes great pride in continuing to foster the growth and development of the residents, as well as the program itself. She completed a Master’s of Medical Education at the University of Dundee with a focus on feedback and debriefing in simulation-based education. As an emerg doc with many interests her research has meandered through topics including CPR education, simulation based education, the role of gender on the clinical practice of EM, the development of pregnancy and parental leave policies, coaching in the emergency department, implementation of health advocacy curriculum, and use of health passports in the ED. When not at work she can most likely be found running or chasing after three little boys at home.
