Dr. Jodie Pritchard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University.
She found her way to emergency medicine after a career as a paramedic, including both clinical and managerial roles within the provincial air ambulance system in Ontario. She completed her MD and FRCPC Emergency Medicine residency at McMaster University and has an MPH from the University of Manchester. Dr Pritchard spent 2019-2020 at Queen’s University in the Global Emergency Medicine fellowship program where she was able to combine her interests in medical education, global emergency medicine, and humanitarian response.
Dr. Pritchard has worked clinically or in a teaching capacity in Libya, Cambodia, Laos, South Africa, DR Congo, and Uganda. Her areas of interest and research include medical education, humanitarian response, global emergency medicine development, and prehospital/transport medicine.
